The name of the Company is an acronym made up from the names of the President’s family, whilst the Logo arrows underline our ongoing determination to deliver our vision: to make Sport accessible for all by developing great looking, functional product at realistic prices, which is reflected in a corporate slogan Get What You Want. |
Sprandi International Limited was founded in 1994 in Hong Kong.
| 1995 |
The launch of SPRANDI brand, offering qualitative sports footwear in to East-European and Russian markets. |
| 1996 |
In 1996 the Company expanded into the Czech Republic and began a strong commitment to regional advertising to support its partners which exists to this day. |
| 1997 |
The first advertising campaign, using unique ad channels for the sports industry of Russia – trolleybuses, light boxes on bridges. e also began a commitment to Sport sponsorship by supporting the Moscow marathon & two cycling teams in Poland. This program allows us to meet people who use our gear, to test new product and reflects our founding vision. |
| 1998 |
A new technology Sprandi Dome was developed and registered in co-operation with a Boston design studio. The fist apparel catalogue. |
| 1999 |
Sprandi took another leap forward in 1999 by opening its first retail store. Based in Moscow it proved invaluable in learning more about the types of product our customers wanted us to make. |
| 2000 |
A launch of the first apparel collection for sports and ath-leisure. |
| 2001 |
In 2001 we introduced our second Brand, “Earth Gear”, with the mission to bring the same mix of value, durability and performance to outdoor activities where weather protection was an important factor, such as recreation and commuting. After a successful initial trial and a desire to present the growing range of products in the most attractive environment, our retail program began in earnest. By the end of the year, 5 stores were open, each featuring the same distinctive, confident decoration and store layout designed to make shopping for Sprandi products a more pleasant experience. India became the latest to distribute Sprandi’s products in this year. |
| 2002 |
Introduction of complete women’s & youth apparel collection in the Earth Gear Brand after a successful trial as part of the initial launch of the Brand. |
| 2003 |
The first Sprandi website went live and we opened our Indian Office. |
| 2004 |
Introduction of “Active Life” range; reflecting the growing trend that Sports wear is increasingly being worn as casual wear on a day to day basis. Active Life takes Dynamic Sports performance technology & blends it with more fashionable deigns and materials for all day style & comfort. At the end of the year we also introduced a new Retail approach, with the launch of our New Flagship store at Mega II in Moscow. All products is merchandised and displayed in one of our “Three Worlds” – Sport, Outdoor and Urban. As part of this process, our ranges were restructuring to focus on end- use activities such as Soccer, Tennis, Competition Running & Training Running. This helps our customers more easily identify which product is right for their needs. Apparel & footwear Product within each end use category is designed and to work cohesively New brand and retail approach of segmentation all product lines in to three worlds Sprandi Worlds, opening of a Flag Shop in Russia . |

2005 sees the introduction of our Fitness category for women; ideal for active sports such as aerobics and more relaxed sports such as Yoga. Our Extreme Conditions line will also be available. Part of Earth Gear, Extreme Conditions is our highest performance range yet for Men & Women’s winter sport and protection from the elements. Featuring top grade materials, layered concepts and articulated design, this collection will keep the wearer warm & dry without hindering movement. |
